Position: Supply Planner

Location: Central London, Hybrid – 3 days/week in the office

Package: £35K/yr – £45K/yr 

This is a great role with one of our favourite clients, looking for a Supply Planner to join one of the most exciting brands in the UK. The role will contribute to the seamless flow of their rapidly expanding and thriving supply chain. Your role will involve maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring uninterrupted supply, and driving cost reductions. You will embody their collaborative work ethos, possess a genuine passion for the FMCG sector, and be enthusiastic about enhancing the service to their customers.

Supply Planner Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage inventory by closely monitoring and maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring alignment with customer demand, and minimizing excess or obsolete stock. Develop and implement strategies to enhance inventory turnover.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing sites and key raw material suppliers to forecast, plan, and coordinate production and purchases, aligning them with predetermined stock level parameters.
  • Drive continuous improvement and risk management initiatives within the businesses planning operations, overseeing projects such as raw material tenders, introduction of new packaging variants, and selection of logistics providers to enhance operational key performance indicators.
  • Foster and manage strong relationships with copackers, suppliers, and hauliers to ensure a dependable and efficient supply chain for both raw materials and finished goods. Evaluate supplier performance and proactively address any issues that may arise.
  • Contribute to financial planning and stock valuation processes by supporting the stock valuation and reconciliation activities between MRP systems and physical stock holdings. Collaborate with the Senior Planning Manager to accurately reflect upcoming productions and raw material purchases in cash flow projections.

This operational role offers exposure to various facets of this rapidly growing business, allowing you to collaborate with senior professionals in Supply Chain & Operations, Finance, Sales, and Marketing, providing valuable learning opportunities and experience across multiple functions.

To be successful:

  • Possess at least 1 year of experience in a planning role, preferably within the FMCG sector, or demonstrate equivalent expertise.
  • Detail-oriented individual with a fervent enthusiasm for problem-solving and a commitment to process improvement.
  • Exceptionally strong communicator adept at managing relationships across various functions, collaborating effectively with external suppliers and third parties.
  • Capable of envisioning the broader operational landscape, planning for the long term, and identifying operational efficiencies within a rapidly evolving supply chain.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized self-starter, eager to thrive in a dynamic team that is making a significant impact on the UK market and beyond.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with a preference for experience in ERP systems.
