A leading challenger brand in London is seeking a Senior National Account Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the Snacking category within their business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role will be responsible for managing key grocery retail relationships, launching, and listing NPD, and identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities in emerging out-of-home channels.
You will be based at the London head office 3 days per week with 2 days wfh.
Responsibilities:
New Product Development (NPD):
- Lead the launch and listing of new products within the Snacking category.
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to identify market trends and consumer insights.
- Work closely with customers to secure optimal product placement and visibility.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in emerging out-of-home channels.
- Conduct market research to assess potential growth areas and develop strategies to capitalise on them.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the out-of-home sector.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for the Snacking category, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
Category Leadership:
- Take ownership of the Snacking category, working towards making it a £20M+ category within the business.
- Drive initiatives to increase market share and brand presence in the Snacking category.
Team Leadership (Future Potential):
- As the Snacking category grows, there is potential for this role to evolve into a team leadership position.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
- Experience of national account management within the FMCG industry. Snacking category experience would be ideal but isn’t essential.
- Proven track record of successfully managing key grocery retail relationships.
- Experience in launching and listing NPD in the FMCG sector.
- Strong understanding of market trends and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and analysing sales data.
- Leadership qualities with the potential and ambition to take on a team leadership role.
