Senior National Account Manager (Foodservice)
Job Role: Foodservice SNAM
Team responsibility: 3 reports (2 NAM and 1 NAE)
Location: Flexible within England
Package: c£70-78k + Car + Bonus
Our client is seeking a talented Senior National Account Manager to drive profitable growth and exceptional execution within the foodservice channel. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key foodservice RTM national partners and leading a team across OOH channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of net sales, investment, and customer profitability for all brands.
- Drive annual, quarterly, and monthly customer targets, focusing on profitable growth for our client and our customers.
- Develop and execute Joint Business Plans and tenders that align with growth ambitions.
- Understand the unique roles of each customer, brand, and SKU, optimising the right mix to maximise growth and profit.
- Ensure the customer strategy aligns with the overall OOH strategy.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing identify growth opportunities and implement them effectively.
- Oversee promotional and pricing plans for customers, ensuring alignment with internal strategies.
- Review return on investment internally and externally, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key customer contacts, becoming their trusted partner.
- Strive to be the “preferred supplier” by consistently delivering best-in-class solutions and ways of working.
- Lead and manage the team, setting clear plans, outlining desired outcomes, and providing coaching and support.
We are seeking an exceptional individual who can demonstrate the following:
- Ability to think strategically, considering broader business needs when making decisions.
- Experience of managing high-profile foodservice customers e.g. Bidfood and Brakes.
- Preferably experience of working within a mid-size or large FMCG company.
- Balance between day-to-day operations and long-term strategic thinking.
- Potential to develop a strong leadership presence and effectively lead through others.
- Strong network-building skills to facilitate successful delivery.
- Proficiency in delivering demand-led Joint Business Plans.
- Excellent questioning and listening skills.
- Proven experience in well-prepared negotiations, including scenario planning.
- Strong commercial acumen and business sense.
