Position: Sales Director (Contract until end of 2024)

Salary: £90,000 – £110,000 + Benefits

Location: Central London

We are looking for a Sales Director to join the team of a fast-growing challenger brand on a contractual basis. In this role, you’ll lead the retail sales division of a highly successful business that sells through retail and D2C. As the business continues to grow, the Sales Director role will drive sales performance, develop key retail partnerships, and contribute to its mission of creating a positive impact in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage key grocery and high street retail accounts
  • Lead sales negotiations and close deals to secure favorable listing terms and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and reports, providing regular updates to the senior leadership team.
  • Grow, develop, and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure the smooth execution of sales plans and initiatives.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings to promote the brand and expand business opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s sustainable product offerings and communicate the brand’s values and unique selling propositions to customers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably with experience of grocery retailers
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to grow, motivate and develop a sales team.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building and maintaining relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
