Are you passionate about driving business growth in the wine industry? We’re seeking a dedicated Key Account Manager to spearhead the profitable expansion of a leading premium wine brand within the Wholesale channel.

Your focus will revolve around crafting and executing annual customer business plans, enhancing distribution quality, and nurturing invaluable customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve targeted sales volume and profitability by managing key accounts and optimising sales promotional spending.
  • Ensure optimal brand distribution and representation across the customer portfolio, aligning with brand guidelines for maximum impact.
  • Cultivate enduring and high-quality business relationships with customers to foster sustainable joint ventures.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the market, customer needs, and business drivers to unlock untapped potential.
  • Collaborate with the Business Manager to leverage Category Management principles for identifying business opportunities in line with brand objectives.
  • Craft, present, and execute compelling joint business plans and presentations in collaboration with customers.
  • Foster strong relationships through consistent, effective communication with key influencers and gatekeepers.
  • Plan, manage, and analyse trade promotional activities in tandem with the Business Manager.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and support Key Account requirements as needed.
  • Engage comprehensively in the annual business planning process, ensuring clear articulation and alignment with customer understanding.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
  • Previous experience of managing UK wholesale, C&C, or On Trade accounts in the UK.
  • FMCG sales experience, preferably within drinks.
  • Proven ability to identify trade trends aligned with sales and brand objectives.
  • Active interest and knowledge in wines.
