Position: Head of Sales – Foodservice

Location: California, US – Remote

Are you passionate about sustainability, wellness, and making a meaningful impact in the beverage industry? We’re representing a leading functional beverage brand dedicated to crafting delicious, nutritious drinks that nourish both the body and the planet.

Focussing on the Western US markets, you will develop and manage relationships with key foodservice distributors, brokers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand product distribution across national and regional on-premise chains, including fast-casual and quick-service restaurants.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities within various foodservice sub-channels, such as colleges, corporate campuses, healthcare facilities, and travel sectors.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and customer relations teams to align business plans with overarching goals and drive profitability.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with the headquarters of major chains, negotiating enduring contracts and favorable pricing structures.
  • Foster alignment and operational efficiency by closely coordinating with cross-functional teams, including Sales Operations, Logistics, Marketing, and Finance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with Compass Group & Canteen in California (Essential)
  • Background in consumer packaged goods (CPG), with experience managing external sales teams and broker networks
  • Proven ability to lead and achieve profitable growth through effective sales management, customer penetration, and relationship building.
  • Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills, capable of creating compelling presentations and negotiating with key business partners.
  • Innovative and proactive approach to business challenges, with a willingness to take on direct responsibilities and push beyond conventional boundaries.

This is a highly strategic and hands-on role, developing the foodservice channel and focussing on new business. The role is fully remote with some travel requirements to clients, largely in the Californian area.
