Grocery Senior National Account Manager – Healthy Snacks

There is an exciting opportunity to work as a Grocery Senior National Account Manager with an ambitious and determined healthy snacking business based in Central London. Since entering the UK market over 5 years ago this company has gone from a peripheral player in the category to one of the category leaders at the forefront of innovation and development, there is a strong pipeline of NPD in 2019 which will see this company continue its impressive growth. This business is renowned for having an amazing culture and the previous incumbents of this role have been headhunted for Sales Director positions at other high growth SMEs, there is an opportunity that this role could internally progress into a Grocery Controller role within 12 months.

The role of a Senior National Account Manager would involve the following:

  • To manage key accounts whilst reinforcing the company’s values
  • To create business plans and manage P&L for key accounts
  • Building relationships with the key grocery accounts
  • Driving sales to achieve strong, noticeable results
  • Working closely within the team along with mentoring junior members of the sales team
  • Creating efficient relationships with key contacts across supply chain, buying, format teams and category

The ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Proficient communication skills
  • Experience in sales, alongside experience in an FMCG based environment
  • An entrepreneurial drive to grow business, gain new accounts and expand on current growth
  • Numerical and literary competency, alongside analytical competency
  • Degree level or equivalent

This role would be ideal for an established Grocery Senior National Account Manager who is looking for more autonomy or a Blue Chip National Account Manager looking to take a step up or a Retail Buyer who is interested in making the switch to supplier side. If you have a background in FMCG sales and have a passion for fitness and nutrition then this could be the perfect role for you!
