Position: Buyer – Heating and Plumbing

Salary: circa £70,000

Located centrally within the business, your primary role will be to enhance the profitability of your product portfolio, emphasizing sustainable long-term growth, enhanced efficiencies, and superior customer experiences. During this transitional phase, this position offers an exceptional opportunity to pioneer a distinctive initiative aimed at industry leadership within the Heating & Plumbing sector.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop a focused, agile B2B business strategy to drive long-term sales and profit growth both in-store and online.
- Utilize strong analytical and data-driven decision-making processes.
- Stay informed of shifts in consumer demands and competitor activities.
- Establish a robust sourcing strategy to secure quality products that meet customer requirements.
- Cultivate and manage supplier relationships to foster high-performance, sustainable partnerships.
- Foster a customer-centric, long-term mindset.
- Collaborate closely with various departments to address critical issues.
- Proactively pursue efficiencies and overhead reductions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Demonstrated business acumen and commercial awareness.
- Proven track record of successful negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail with strong strategic planning and organizational abilities.
