Business Planning Manager

A newly created opportunity at a global wine business has become available for a Business Planning Manager. Our client is looking for an ambitious candidate who is detail oriented and self-motivated. The role will also include managing the Planning and Operation functions to enhance company growth and sales. The role does not require someone to have an operations / supply chain background, the ideal candidate will have business planning / commercial planning experience.

Responsibilities of the role include:

· Maintaining and optimising business planning processes.

· Accurately analysing performance and collaborate with Business Managers to identify opportunities to drive company growth.

· Responsible for Category analysis and regularly review market profitability.

· Working effectively with the National Sales Manager to lead the annual business planning process.

· Liaising with global supply chain and effectively manage the sales operations team.

· Collaborating with Business Managers to lead the monthly sales forecast and oversee the finance process.

· Developing a knowledge of the sales order process and coordinate inventory planning.

· Overseeing the administration projects.

· Ensuring the promotion of and compliance with all health, safety and environmental legislation.

. Managing two direct reports in the operations team.

The ideal candidate:

· Experience within business planning / sales operations and experience of working in the FMCG industry

· A self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

· Detail oriented and demonstrates a passion for the brand.

. Ideally prior people management experience

· IT literate, including strong Excel skills and the ability to efficiently learn new systems.

· Exceptional analytical and organisational skills.

· Educated to degree level or equivalent

. A keen interest in wine / the drinks industry
