A dynamic and innovative Food Business is looking for a driven and results-oriented Business Development Specialist to join their team and spearhead their growth within wholesale channels across the Netherlands.


As a Business Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in expanding their presence and fostering strong relationships within the wholesale sector across the Netherlands. Your primary focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing partnerships, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing wholesale customers, understanding their needs and aligning company offerings to their requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential growth areas, emerging trends, and competitive landscape
  • Develop and present compelling sales proposals, showcasing the unique value proposition of our products.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to maximize market penetration and achieve sales targets.
  • Prospect, engage, and onboard new wholesale clients by presenting our range of food products and tailored solutions.
  • Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative products and services that cater to customer demands.
  • Negotiate terms and contracts with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Gather market insights, customer feedback, and industry trends to inform product development and business strategies.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, and market dynamics to management
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and logistics, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Coordinate customer visits, trade shows and events, and product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement.


  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the food industry, preferably with wholesale clients.
  • Fluent in Chinese and Dutch
  • Network within the Netherlands wholesale market is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, result-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel within the Netherlands as required.
