I am working with an independent Brewery who are looking for an Account Manager to support the growth of the on-trade and wholesale channels within London.

The Account Manager will play a crucial role in the sales team, focusing on managing and developing relationships with wholesale and on-trade accounts. This position requires a strong background in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, as well as a passion for progress and professional growth.

The Account Manager will have a combination of new business development responsibilities and account management duties, working closely with the Founders to drive sales and achieve business objectives.

The role requires a commercial, energetic, and tenacious individual with a passion for craft beer. This role will report to the Founders and will also work closely with the broader, multi-functional team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Win new business within the on-trade channel in London with predominantly IFT and leased/tenanted channels
  • Effectively managing the on-trade budget and P&L
  • Championing and managing existing key customers and increasing the rate of sale
  • Assume responsibility/accountability for achieving programmed goals monthly
  • Manage the entire sales process, including prospecting, negotiation, contract management, and ongoing account maintenance.
  • Cascade these goals and responsibilities to team
  • Brand education & training to suppliers, retailers and consumers
  • Identify new customer opportunities and competitor threats
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the business.

This role will suit someone who:

  • Has commercial experience within the FMCG industry, preferably with a focus on wholesale and on-trade accounts.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the wholesale and on-trade sectors, including market dynamics and customer needs
  • Knowledge of the beverage industry, including trends, product categories, and distribution channels.
  • Proficiency in using sales CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Has a passion for beer!
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
