Channel Director
Position: Channel Director – Discounters
Location: South East-Based
Package: Circa £120-£130k base + Package
We’re working on behalf of a global FMCG business looking for a Channel Director to take ownership of their discounters channel. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving performance across a diverse customer base. Managing a significant nine-figure P&L business unit and leading a capable team, you’ll shape and deliver the long-term commercial roadmap for this strategically important channel.
The Role
- Set and lead the commercial strategy across the discounters channel, driving sustainable growth.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering strong customer relationships and a results-driven culture.
- Own annual planning and delivery of Joint Business Plans (JBPs), pricing strategy, and promotional execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with category, supply chain, and brand teams to deliver seamless execution and channel differentiation.
- Influence at the highest levels, both internally and externally, to ensure strategic alignment and commercial success.
The Ideal Candidate
- Senior-level commercial experience in FMCG with relevant channel exposure.
- Proven success managing complex customer groups and delivering consistent P&L performance.
- Strategic thinker with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experienced leader with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of the UK wholesale and convenience landscape and its operational nuances.
This role requires full UK residency and proximity to a South East-based office. Relocation support, sponsorship, or overnight stays are not available.
