The Role
They are looking for a commercially astute Sales Controller to lead the Convenience & Wholesale channel. This is a strategic role focused on scaling a rapidly expanding category, managing key retail partnerships, and developing a team. The business is known for its innovation and commitment to delivering high-quality food products across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the sales strategy for the Convenience & Wholesale channel in line with broader business goals.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team comprising a National Account Manager and a National Account Executive, with future scope for expansion.
- Key Account Management: Oversee high-value customer relationships with major retailers and wholesalers, including leading symbol groups and national wholesalers.
- Business Development: Drive new business growth through identifying opportunities, such as securing new listings and meal deal placements with high-street retailers.
- Performance Management: Track and analyse sales performance, using data to drive decisions and exceed commercial targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to support successful execution of channel strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a Senior National Account Manager ideally working with the likes of Co-op, Spar, Costco, Booker, etc
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with a track record of building and managing successful sales teams.
- Strong strategic mindset and commercial acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
